COMICON was founded in 1998 as the "International Comics Salon in Naples", and became one of the most active and successful producers of pop culture events and exhibitions in Europe.

For over 25 years COMICON has been organizing international exhibitions featuring renowned artists (Mattotti, Moebius, Bilal, Manara, Liberatore...) and IPs (from Disney, DC Comics, Marvel, Sergio Bonelli Editore, Corto Maltese, Manga Heroes...). The company also publishes graphic novels under the COMICON Edizioni label, and is the official management organization representing internationally acclaimed artists Milo Manara and Tanino Liberatore. We are also proud to be founding members of the European Comics Festivals Network, and of RIFF – Italian Comics Festivals Network.

“COMICON - International Pop Culture Festival” is among the world's biggest comics and pop culture events, attracting to Naples more than 175,000 attendees each year for four days of comics, anime and manga, videogames, cinema, TV series, role-playing and board games, music, street art, cosplay and everything's pop culture. In 2023, we expanded our portfolio with the addition of COMICON Bergamo, a new comics and pop culture festival that attracted over 35,000 attendees (2024) in three days.
